hi

this is the hack that desables the remote sorry but hope it helps all the same (plus you can still use the buttons on the machine if there are any)

Open drive tray
Put in Region 1 DVD
Close drive tray and immediately press and keep pressing 1 or 2 rapidly on remote control until DVD begins to play
DVD will play but controls on remote will not work. Therefore:- no pause, ff, rew etc. but the film will play

this hack should work

Turn On the player and Eject the disc tray
On the remote press 2, 8, 1, 2 followed by Enter
This gets you to the engineers menu
Press Down until you reach COUNTRY CODE and press Enter
The current region code will change to four dashes (----)
Input one number (0=Region Free, 1=USA 2=Europe, etc) and press Enter again
The new region code will now be displayed. You can exit by just pressing the Eject button once more

this hack should work

Press the Open/Close button on the players Remote Control to open the drive tray.
Press the buttons 2, 0, 0 and 1 on the Remote Control.
Press the Enter button on the Remote Control
You will now enter a hidden Setup page, and can change the player to any Region. To set it to Region Free enter 13 as the country code. You can also disable Macrovision from this menu.
Press the Open/Close button on the Remote Control to close the drive tray.

this hack should work

Power On the unit and with no DVD in the tray
Press Set-Up, Menu, Step, Previous and Next
A service menu should now be displayed allowing region Bypass to be selected

hi i belive this hack will work for your alba tvd3450

Press DVD mode button on the TV panel
Press Set Up on the remote control
Press Next Arrow on the remote control (4 times) to open the Version Screen which shows the words version 2 on the top right hand corner of the TV screen
Use Arrow Keys on remote to change version to 255 which is the setting for multi region
Press Set Up on remote to save setting
