SONY DVPS336 hardware hack only??

Can anyone let me know if this can only be changed to multi region by hardware hack and if so who is the cheapest.
I`m well aware that most SONY DVD players are hardware hack only just checking

JVC XV-515GD HACK - AND IT DOESN`T COST A PENNY!!!

if anyone wants a cheap hack for this model:
1. Place an area one discinto the system.
2. Switch the system off(disc inserted) and unplug from wall socket
3.Wait about 20 secounds and then replug the system back into the wall socket.
4. The system will then read straight from the disc (as with a pc) and play your area one disc without spending a penny!!
