Hi I just did the hack and it works fine. When you scroll down to preferences press OK then you have a screen showing english, thats when you press the number sequence and the rest of the steps. Works for me.

RE: targa drh 5000 dvd recorder hack needed please

Tried the Hack tonight when I got in from work and presto a multi region Targa DRH 5000. Thanks gphorce. The display goes from channel 5 to channel 0 and back and forth then the message of congrats appears on screen. It was sooooo easy.

I just bought one of these as well and so far I am quite impressed. The lack of multi-region is a slight draw back and would certainly make for a more versatile machine, so anyone out there sussed out the hack yet? There must be more than two of us who have this model, come on guys.
