What´s the difference between Braindead and Dead Alive? Has anybody got a clue? I´ve seen both DVDs but it seems concerning the running time they are equal...

Are you sure that there´s no SHUFFLE button on the REMOTE CONTROL? There should be one!!! It´s to the right in the last row so to say the last on the bottom! look at this link there´s a picture of the remote control (it´s from the SC-2000 - but is the same as for the daewoo) !! compare your remote with the picture from the link, if the remote is not the same then I can´t help you!

it depends on what firmware you have! it seems that there´s no region and macro option on new firmwares! you have to enter OPEN SETUP 9 3 0 1 0 to bypass region! u can check by pushing OPEN SETUP SHUFFLE STEP NEXT (secret menu) on the remote, scrolling to DEBUG item and have a look if 9 is checked.

RE: Scan SC2000 good for DVD playback, only a few glitches :

It´s possible that these DVDs are dual-layer and when the layer changes depending on the unit the picture freezes for a moment (less than 0.5 secs)

for region free try :

OPEN SETUP 9 3 0 1 0

check the status as follows:

OPEN SETUP SHUFFLE STEP NEXT
scroll to the menu item DEBUG
it should be 9 - region free

IF THIS DOES NOT WORK THEN I DON´T KNOW

Note: I´ve got the DAEWOO DVD-2000 and it worked! Only thing which didn´t work was turning macro off.

IS THERE ANY MACROVISION DISABLE FOR THE MANHATTAN 2000 (daewoo 2000) ON NEW FIRMWARES

please help! does anyone know how to disable macrovision on the manhattan dvd 2000 (daewoo dvd 2000)! there are no items for this in the secret menu even if I scroll off the screen. The new remote hack (open setup 9 3 0 1 0 shuffle step next) works well, but alas I´m not able to disable the macrovision!

yeah this works well! but do you know how to turn the macrovision off?
i can only switch the region code from 1 to 9 (i guess this is bypass)!
but in this firmware version is no entry for macrovision in the secret menu!
