The lastest aldi dvd recorder DVDR100LB will only record on either dvd+rw or dvd+r dvds, it will however play dvd-rw and dvd-r dvds.

Thanks for posting the region code, I have tried it on my recorder I bought from aldi yesterday, unforntunately the code did not work.

I have tried a region 1 dvd and the recorder reports region code error, so I know the recorder is locked to region 2.

I have input the code with the input set to scart mode.

I was wondering am I doing anything wrong, any help appriciated.

Just relised I should have been in the dvd mode, code worked a treat.
