They are only hardware/firmware upgradable. I got mine from upgradeheaven.co.uk for 179pounds multiregion. Check out their site as they do collection and return service for upgrades.

thanks for the info guys. Think I get the differences now but When I watch widescreen dvds, I can`t see a difference between the pan&scan and letterbox. Am I supposed to see a diff? When I choose widescreen then the sides get chopped off.

Oh, I have a normal tv.

Inputs, it has a coaxial digital input, no optical. Digital din and other connections for the soundblaster live! cards.

So, good value when you consider that you can use it for a dvd player And computer!

I have the pioneer 530 and DTT 2500 setup and I must say that the sound is absolutly fabulous! of course it can`t be compared with Something that costs 10x more but her, DD5.1 sounds that come out of the satellites are more than enough for my room. Got my DTT2500 for 124pounds from creative`s auction site.

Apparently, some have bought them for 70pounds from buy.com with coupons but they don`t sell them anymore... Damn!

Yup. The same hack as the aiwa 370. Note that it doesn`t play vcds ok.

Just bought one for 149 pounds. Seems pretty good. The box/manual doesn`t say vcd/mp3 playback but I can see a vcd and mp3 indicator on the player itself.

Does anyone know if this player can play mp3 or vcds? I tried player a couple of vcds and just got a disc error msg.
So, is my player faulty or the machine just doesn`t play.

And finally, whats the diff between the 3000, 3200, and 3350? I know the 3350 has a built in decoder but is that it?

Oh, the remote hack works on this player.

Heard of centronics multiregion upgrade for pioneer 535?

has anyone heard of a centronics (I think thats how you spell it) multiregion upgrade for pioneer 535? Is this RCE compatible? I was told that its only auto switching and no manual change. Will putting in a non-rce disc get around this problem?

I need info people! Help! Pleeaseee!

If what I`ve been reading is correct, you can bypass rce by loading a non-rce disc, eject, play rce disc.

If this is correct then there shouldn`t be a problem with RCE on all multiregion pioneers. Donno bout macrovision though.

Can someone confirm this?

I know. They sell software modified players which are multi region.
I just want to know if its possible to manually change regions to get around RCE.

Just been told in another post that you can put in a region 1 disc to change the player region and then play for eg. patriot.

Anyone know of any other way?

could it be that they don`t want to say as its "breaking the law"? The guy I spoke to told me that "HIS" pioneer 525 player has a handset hack.

Maybe the pioneers they sell are rce compatible and all we need is the codes to punch in to manually change regions.

So does anyone know the codes?
Also, is there such a thing as multiregion in auto but not manual?

For videologic ones: www.videologic.co.uk they have links to reviews on their product info page.

I would recommend the videologic LC which sells for 130 pounds if you don`t need a decoder. These are very good speakers and more powerful than creatives`. The reason I bought the DTT2500 is because I want to use them on my computer as well as they can output 4.1 sounds for gaming whereas the videologic can`t.

So, DVD only then pick videologic
DVD + computer use with soundblaster live! cards then go for the DTT2500 or 3500.

Where to buy them? Check out all the online sites and don`t ever go into PC world... they rip you off!

I`m going to get a pioneer 530 from this trader... Has anyone has any experience of their customer service?
