I applied This hack which seems to work but the dvd seems to have reset back to region 2 rather than "all" when it was powered off.
Is this normal or should it have stayed on "all" region.

this hack worked for My Matsui dvd 110 (I know its strange but I could not get the standard hack for Matsui 110 to work).
I tried this one because I saw Commet selling exactly the same model but it was in silver.

Does anyone have the hack for Goodman DVD 3000 so it can play VCD`s ?
I have tried the one for Matsui DVD 110 but it does not work.

Do have the hack for Goodman 3000 as I have a Matsui DVD 110 but the hack for that does not work. I think I have a later firmware version on mine than so the hack may be different.
The reason I`m asking is that I say your DVD in Commet today and its identical to mine but in silver rather than black.

Ok guys ...I agree the hack does work for the 110 since I actually bought 2 matsui dvd players. I kept one and I gave the other away as a present the hack would work ok. The one I have the hack does not seem to work.

I tried the hack today on the other one it was straight forward and it worked it plays all regions.

What I Did notice is on the one it worked:-

1.The tray did not eject when pressed on the remote and also when the dvd is powered on it comes up with "matsui DVD 110 Help line 08700100484"
2.My one does not it comes up with asking you to select the language and if you don`t it defaults to English and than goes to screen which just says "DVD video".

3.The other thing that is different is that when you go to menu mines is graphical and on the one where the crack works it has just radio bars you can select.

4.Physically they look identical (in black) except mine has Y2K complient and the other did not.

Also I noticed today that commet are selling the same dvd (pyisically looks the same except in silver) its badged as Goodman dvd 3000.
Does anyone have the hack for goodman dvd 3000 which I could try.
I think I have a later version of firmware on my DVD which could be why the hack does not work on mine.

Does anybody have any ideas how I can get around this problem ?

I have also tried doing the recomendations for dvd 120 but that does not work.
I know I saw something similar on another forum where the dvd110 ejected when apling the crack but I have looked at so many websites that I lost track where it was.

Any help on this would be much apreciated.

The hack works.....

Does anyone have any ideas as how to get it to work with VCD`s ?

Hi,

I have a similar problem but my dvd is a matsui dvd 110 I bought it this week.
I have tried all the instructions for the hack and it does not seem to work my remote does have open/close but when I get to that stage the drive also opens when the instructions say it should not.

Can anyone please help since I only bought the dam thing thinking the hack would work.

These are the instructions I used...
1. Switched power on/off
2. pressed menu
3.press 9
4.press open/close (The the draw does open at this stage and if pressed again it closes)
5. press 5
6. press mute (I get a little red circle with line going through it on top right hand corner of the screen). I get no regions or all come up.

I have also tried holding down eject/stop/fast-slow button and eject/stop/next chapter button.
