And its true. His mouse was bad, cos i tried his and I was getting 250+ ms.

Hi All,

Got this email. To me it seems like a complete con job. Has anyone else got this before.

I have done a search on the phone number, which comes up a debt or charges recovery

The company mS-i[at]tr Consumer Services Ltd comes up as recovery service etc.

Also there is nothing indicating what the amount is for or the reason for it being 50 quid.

Their website taken from the email address is registered but not constructed.

Any thoughts?

Since I have to be a major leacher :( cos of my 512 connection, I have found that you can up the global upload to whatever you want to avoid restriction and then right click on the torrent and set the upload for that particular torrent to something smaller without it lowering the DL.

I hate to leach, but I have little choice.

So basically it will just use my wireless network.

Looking for something around 50 quid. Need to order asap cos my brother is leaving uk this Saturday.... please post some links if you know of any.

ok cool... so 2gb ram.

But from what i have read around, if I use a program that uses all 4 cores, then it will be faster than a dual. So it now boils down to what program I will use.:)

I see what you mean.... But this still means that I need the fastest encoding components to come together at a reasonable price.

Im sure ill be going for the quad core.

But unsure about what ram and by how much if any will it speed up the process.

I will have to balance time and quality on this.

But any answers about the ram will be useful.

I dont think i will be overclocking as pc will be used in Mauritius where temperatures will get upto 40 c.

A while back I was looking for a budget pc and got some great help. Thanks.

Now I need the opposite.

Pc will be used for encoding. Ie from my camcorder to dvd format as quick as possible.

Dont want to break the bank too much :)

Im sure I will need a fast processor. Looking at this.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 2.50GHz - 175 quid

But im not sure what Ram and mother board. How much difference will 800MHZ to say 1333MHZ be. Will 4 gb of 800 be better than 2gb of 1333?

The most important thing is the video encoding and doing it as quick as possible.

Also will the encoding software actually make use of the quad? or is this a waste.

Im very stuck on this as this is my first pc geared specifically to this.

Whats the quickest way of transferring mini dv to pc.

I need to be able to do this as quick as possible. And then to convert to dvd format as quick as possible.

Hi all,

I need a camcorder but with a few specific things.

Needs to have Hard drive or microdrive or something similar... No tape stuff.. or dual.

Needs to be big. Not like tha cams we get in the shops... More pro stuff required

About 2 Grand max.

Hi, thanks for that. But what I am doing is creating the movie or dvd on the hard drive and then burning say 5 copies. So its not a straight forward copier that I need.

Can this still be done?

Does anyone know if these Multi writers will write multiple copies from a PC.

I am not looking for a copier. Rather when i record my video, I would like to burn them onto like 5 DVD`s or more at once.

Also what software would I use? Most software just gives the 1 option to burn a DVD.

Overall what I need to do, is create a DVD quick from a Video file and then Burn them all at once.

So I guess I would need software to convert or make the file into .Vobs etc and do all the menus and stuff.

Is there anything that would do this without having to repeat the process again and again?

Worked later on but was out of stock by then... Guess its due to the amount of people on...

Been looking at the 9600gt and thinking of getting that one. looks good and a bit cheaper than the 8800gt.

Im running on 8800gts now.. but this pc is for a mate who is trying to keep the cost down cos he is in Mauritius and he does not earn enough.

Graphics is for quark express, photoshop and adobe illustrator and stuff.... not for cad or 3d

I would like to go for the intel, but with 10 quid making a big difference here, ill have to try and cut a few corners.

Any more ideas to keep me under budget would be great... will have to oder by tomorrow night to have delivery on time for when my bro flies over.

Hi Guys, need some help as im confused about the expansion slots etc.

I need to buy a motherboard, ram, cpu, psu and graphics card for about 330 quid

I would like to order from saverstore or dabs or something like that, ebuyer is another.

But im not sure which mother board will be compatible with which graphics card and chip and ram all at the same time...

I would be more than happy if you could help with a search and post the individual links for each components ( This might be asking for too much)

But I would still appreciate what I should be looking for to ensure compatibility.

Go for it. I have an unlocked iphone and its all good. itunes gives you the option to upgrade or not. Its that simple.

There is so much you can do with an iphone, you will love it.

You will have an array of apps that you can download all for free.

Got loads of space for music and you can even put full movies on there. Takes about 400 mb per film in good quality. so for an 8gb , well you can do the math :)

I gave up voting even before i was eligible. When i turned 18, I voted but i knew it would be my first and last time. Just wanted to do it once in my life.

I hear so many people saying `no vote, no say`.

Yet what I realized all those years ago was that I had no say anyway. All I would be doing is saying who gets to dictate what happens next. Ever since I can remember, everyone is pee`d off at the last party thats in. So to hell with... I get to stay at home and same my fuel.

Your right about people not indicating. It just slows things down so much.

So many people argue that its just 1 or seconds. But add that up and over time it turns in to a traffic jam which is not just a few seconds.

Cops should pull people over for not indicating or driving slowly or doing the many things that slows traffic down. Personally I don`t speed very often. Alot of the times i will try and stick to the speed limit, but after someone in front of you decides to take their own sweet time to pull away at the lights and then it changes and your stuck there.... Grrrrr... This is out of order.

And as you say, if you try and flash them or over take them to avoid them doing it again at the next set of lights, you get the fine.

But all along, this could have been avoided, just by someone accelerating faster.

If it was not about the money, then they would simply give you points till you lose your license.

Everyone knows this as a fact. They want your money. They dont care if someone gets killed or not. If they do care, its only for public opinion and not for someones life.

Have these cameras stopped any deaths????
Has any one thought to look at if its the cars getting better at stopping with abs/ better tires.

On one road near where i used to live, probably for 20+years no one was killed. Then 1 person got it, and sure its sad. But that does not justify a camera. Eventually all roads will have casualties in time.

In fact looking at some stats, it seems that casualties have been dropping from the 70`s all the way till recently. So speed cameras are not the only thing stopping accidents etc.

Its all money.

Also why don`t cops look out at other issues. Ie people driving too slow. If we want to solve the problem, look at why people speed.

I speed cos someone is doing 30 in a 40 zone or at a traffic light, he decides he needs to wait 5 secs before he moves which causes traffic to build up.

People are frustrated and hence speed. They lose time at stupid round abouts which have traffic lights.

I really stopped believing a long time ago that any govt plan was designed other than to make money.

It all looks like they are doing everything in their power to encourage us to speed and then fine us.

Really what I do wish for is that everyone just stop speeding for a few weeks and let the govt choke on the lost revenue.

What i hate the most about the dol, is that my bro had been working like 6 years and he got made redundant. He when to sign up and they told him he would get like 50 quid a week he blew his top.

He told them that he had been earning like 2k a month and paying tax and all and now they expect him to live on 50 quid.

He told them to shove the money up their A[at]SR and walked out ....lolololol

Me too... I think my problem is the way I look at it.

I.e I pay someone some of my salary because they have a child.

Cos that is what it boils down to. Its not a Govt incentive or relief etc. Its simply part of my salary going to someone else.
