RE: Maybe I should have listened to you guys a bit more carefully??

>How widely available are multi-standard TVs in the US?

Almost unheard of. They *are* available, but you have to seek them out deliberately at specialist stores, and there is very little choice. There`s very little demand to watch PAL material in America, so 99.9% of TVs don`t support it.

FWIW, there`s an American player by Apex which is multi-region hackable *and* has a built-in standards converter.

Is there a hack for the Aiwa XRDV120KS?

A friend has just bought the Aiwa hifi-and-DVD-player combi unit. Anyone know if there is a region hack for it? She`s tried the Aiwa 370 hack, but no luck.

Can hacked Thomson players cope with RCE discs?

The heading about says it all!

My father-in-law-to-be has just ordered the 24" Thomson TV/DVD combo unit. I know it`s region hackable, but can`t find any information as to whether the front-panel hack allows it to play RCE discs.

Any ideas?
