I thought there might be, but I wasn`t sure. Thanks for filling in a gap in my knowledge. Clearly RGB -> component is not a simple conversion.

I`ve just checked my shiny new Aiwa`s firmware and it`s the same as Jimbo`s web site says he has. And has the confusing (mis)use of "component" in the setup screens...

I think this is a question of nomenclature.

What most Aiwas call "component" is known as "SCART RGB" (or similar) by everyone else. And sites and magazines etc. tend to, quite reasonabley, quote what the manufacturer says.

While the RGB signal throws out a lovely picture on my TV, is it not possible to get suitable component video signals off the SCART socket with a suitable lead?
