I have the same player.

Have you upgraded your firmware?

This will make your player multi-region and macro free.

I downloaded it a year or so ago from Ironduke, but the site doesn-t seem to be working any more.

Let me know if you need the firmware and I can e-mail it to you.

Problem Solved !!!. All I needed to do was to change output from MULTI to PAL and it WORKS !!!!!!!

DVD collection can now be saved !!!

Sorry oh great Ironduke !! It won`t happen again. (But in mitigation, your honour, the Ezeboard system was down when this thread started) !!!

Anyroad, not touched the Automute, audio dithering etc. Could this make a difference ??

Well,reset the defaults, switched macro off, and........
still the same pinky greeny stripey picture !!! I`m running it through the front composite connector of a JVC HRJ635EK video.

I have the same problem (plays through Video, but cannot record ; image appears green with bits of pink and VERY stripey !!!)

One point I have noticed is that when I access the Macrovision option in the loopholes menu, when you move the cursor to OFF, the narrative at the bottom of the screen states that it disables Automute (and that is the next option down the screen !!)

Any help would be appreciated. Being able to back up my DVD to VHS would save my collection from my 3 year old daughter !!

Being a sad old git, I can tell you it was called the Laffalympics (I think thats how you spelt it). Hanna Barbera characters in it if I recall correctly... oh they were the days !!!!!

My telly seems to have lost its geometry settings (for no reason) and I wondered whether anyone who has this set could let me have a list of their settings so I can try to fix it.

Its still under warranty but an engineer can`t come for a week :-((

If you can`t do it for me....do it for the kids !!! They`ll drive me up the wall in a day never mind a week !!

Home Cinema system - Help needed

I have a client who is looking at setting up a home cinema system. He is considering the following components :-
Pioneer 535 (multi-region)
Kenwood KRF 7030 Receiver
Mission Cinema 6 Pack

If anybody using any of these components could let me know their thoughts/reviews it would be appreciated.

Maybe a long shot, but maybe you could alter/butcher a playstation AV cable. It would need a small power supply, and the audio would be mono, but hey it might work !!!!! ;-))

Try contacting Combined Precision Components on www.cpc.co.uk. They have allsorts of gadgets that will allow composite & sound in and tv out. I seem to remember that the old video cameras came with such devices (Panasonic springs to mind ) ;-)
