I tried this type of hack but could not get it to work. In the previous version it does not tell you to select English first which is where we all might be going wrong. I just tried it your way and it worked first time. I have tried region 1 and 2, I have powered off and on and both regions still work. If you ask me its a premanant hack.

If anyone out there has not tried this hack and selecting English before keying in the number I sugest you do.

I have this problem also so would be interested to hear from Mike G. I can get hold of an Aiwa RC-7AS06 remote that is supposed to work. Is it worth trying ?

Any Info would be appreciated
