NEW Tevion DVD-7071 MultiRegion Hack Needed

I bought this Tevion DVD-7071 this morning from ALDI in Ireland.

I bought it because I was informed by email that it was a multiregional DVD player, as per this banner from the ALDI website:

It turns out it`s not, at least it doesn`t play my Region 1 DVDs. The player is not (or was not at the time I posted this) listed on the website here, but I thought that perhaps it was a pretty new model. I called the helpline, and the guy told me the email was a misprint, and that it`s not multiregional, and didn`t seem to know anything about hacking it. In lieu of there being a hack for a lot of Tevion players, I thought I`d ask if anyone here might know a way to hack it.

Any ideas? I`d be very grateful.
