Had the same problem with planet of the apes r1 every other disc works fine. It might be something to do with the nuon feature on this disc

I must agree with Westy its best to stick with the A terminals and get the cable terminated by the supplying dealer the same with the centre speaker.

Yes Bi Wiring is worth it. I have a Denon 2800 amp Castle Severn main/ Castle Keep centre speakers. Yes you can tell a difference by Bi Wiring them, the bass is tighter and the treble crisper. I would Bi Wire the centre as well as a large proportion of the sound comes from the centre speaker. I have tried both coax and optical and can tell no difference.

Had the same problem with my first region 1 disk. I set the dvd player to auto it has worked fine ever since. Good luck.

HELP! PLANET OF THE APES

HI JUST WONDERED IF ANYBODY CAN HELP, I HAVE JUST BORROWED PLANET OF THE APES REGION 1 OFF A MATE IT PLAYS TO CHAPTER 16 THEN FREEZES. I HAVE TRIED ALL THE USUAL THINGS, SETTING TO REGION 1, USING NTSC, ETC. DVD PLAYER IS A WHARFEDALE 750S LAST MODEL. ANY HELP WOULD BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.

I bought one of the jvc leads from currys to link my 750s to my denon av amp and it fits really well you must have got a mini toslink connector. Currys should change it as it was thier mistake.

I seem to remember a similar problem when I bought my 750s about a year ago. I was trying to compare it with my arcam alpha 6 cd player and remember that the sound was awful. From memory I think I had to disconnect the scart lead to make it sound better. Hope this helps.

Ex is dolby digital with a centre surround channel. Es is dts with a centre surround channel

Just a thought but have you selected bitstream in the wharfedale main menu I had this problem with dolby digital on my wharfdale/denon set up and it cured it

The 750s is the one to go for as it has a region lock if required and it plays most discs without problems.
