RE: How do I fix the low sound output on my Scan 2000?
Thanks Alan, I have managed to work it out now by combining what I could remember with the info on the hacks page.
On the whole I`m pretty pleased with my player. I did have to change two when I first got it back in September. One had the problem where the subtitles kept coming on, and then that was swapped for one that did exactly the same thing. They eventually sent me the firmware update which I installed myself and since then it has been OK. The low sound is a bit of a pain, and it always switches my TV into 16:9 mode which is a pain. Apart from that the main reason I bought it is for playing mp3 CD`s which works fine, and for playing VCD`s and SVCD`s. It pretty much plays anything in that respect, including non-standard variations. I use it for creating master discs of my own work which I can then easily dub to VHS.
When playing back some DVD`s I have occasionally seen some slight blocky artefacts in the shadows, but generally the picture is pretty good.

It`s an older model by the way, not the Stop/Step/Angle code.
How do I fix the low sound output on my Scan 2000?
The volume from my Scan 2000 is sometimes very low through a scart cable. I had the key sequence to up the volume, but I have mislaid it and cannot find it again on this site. Could anybody help? Thank you.
