toshiba 36` tv
hi there has anyone out there brought the new toshiba 36` tv the picture frame one, not sure of the model number, i got a quick glance at it recently but as with most retailers it was showing a poor terristial picture that had a weak signal so not very good and did not want to ask for a demo to spare myself the uninformed sales pitch from some teenager keen on commision, espiecially as i can get it for £14,984 from QED electrical which i think is the cheapest poss price,
thanks for any help

which widescreen
hi i was wondering what widescreen you guys think is the best, i have got my choice down to the panasonic 36`pg50 or the sony 36` with the drc on it, i have heard many bad reports about the sony having picture geometry problems what do you think?
hidden tv menu`s
many modern tv`s have got a hidden service menu which can be used to change some of the settings such as the picture geometry, and it should be noted that this type of adjustment can cause damage to your tv, a freind of mine used this method to change his mitsubushi tv to play ntsc and managed to blow the power supply twice as this mode also changed the voltage to 110v the american system, what i did wonder was hhas anyone found a site that has these codes on with details of what each feature dooes step by step or is it something we are never going t obe able to find out for the reasons above?
i have a mitsubishi 29av1b and just want to get the blue down a bit on the tube as when on a dark screen you can see blue lines going across the screen
welcome anyones thoughts on this subject

RE: phillips pronto
thanks for those comments, i do like the idea of macros but they can be difficullt to get the hang of, i.e if say you programmed at a puush of the dvd button the remote to on my system sitch ther dvd on the tv to the s-video and then the processor on the turn the amp to the right input you start getting problems
if any one of the above is already on the macro will switch it off, so if you were changing from sky digital to dvd the tv and amp would end up being turned off, i know that you can change everything manualy but i think that defeats the object of macros, i think that the makers need to find a way that the remote rembers if it has switched the relevant items on and make the needed adjustment to the macro to stop this happening, otherwise the only option is to switch everything off before changing the source, maybe somebody will read this and tell phillips!!!!
cheers
