Any known hacks for the Sony DVP-S536D player?

A friend of mine has just bought a Sony S536D player. Does anyone know of any region hacks for this machine? Any suggestions gratefully received!

Also does anyone know why my Grundig GDV210 (yeah, I know it`s cruddy!) wont play a region 2 copy of American Psycho? I know it wont play the Matrix, but American Psycho has no apparent `extras` like the Matrix, for which the Grundig is not set up. I just wondered if any of you knew something I didn`t?
