I have tried this one but it did not work

switch on
press menu
press 1,6,7
you will then see display 1-6 for regions. press mute button in top right hand corner of remote and that will give you all regions.
press exit
your dvd player is now multi region
worked on mine no problems
I am working on the vcd hack.will post here if it works

I am not sure if maybe I am doing something wrong.I have tried it both with the remote and the player and with and without a disk in it

Any suggestions
Cheers

Can some one recommend a good speaker setup???

I have an old(4-5yrs)Tecnics hifi system with dolby pro logic. Can anyone recommend a sound setup or even a very good Web addy on this stuff as I am not up to date on all the different formats DTS,Digital Pro logic and so on.I know Scan have problems with there players and I like most people i am willing to put a bit of time/effort if the end result gets me a bang up to the minute machine.I was considerin there AV6 speaker setup but am a bit weary of these as unlike there machine I am sure it is impossible to rectife any problems with firmware updates.Anybody shead any light on this subject, thank you in advance
Cheers

Anyone shred any light on this???????

I sure you are all aware that Divx copies are far superior to vcd`s but they will only play on your computers. My question is this
Whould it be posible to write a piece of code to be include in a firmware update for a stand alone player (say the scan 2k) or do you need a dedicated piece of hardware to do the job???????
