RE: Looking for a Digital DVD Recorder with upscaling feature
Hi Pat,
In answer to your question: -
Yes, I did end up taking the Supercover!! lol
I am usually very sceptical about this sort of cover. In fact, I have never previously purchased any, as I have always thought that it was a bit of a rip-off!
But it seemed such a good comprehensive cover, at a reasonable cost, that it seemed a bit daft not to take it up. And as you rightly say, it is refundable after 5 years.
Thanks again to everyone for all the friendly advice received
RE: Looking for a Digital DVD Recorder with upscaling feature
Hi Pat, Sorry for the delay in replying, but I have been working away for a few weeks. Anyway, to cut a long story short, I took your advice & went down to Richer Sounds and bought the multi-region Panny. I have to say that the Richer Sounds product offering is small, but is more than made up for it by it`s very knowledgeable and very helpful staff. (Congratulations and thanks to Justin at the Liverpool store!!)
And many thanks to you, and this Forum for all the sound advice I have received.
RE: Looking for a Digital DVD Recorder with upscaling feature
Hi Sue/Choagy/Steve,
Rather than start another link....a friend of mine is now looking for an upscaling DVD Recorder which is multi-region or can be hacked to multi-region, since she has a number of Region 1 dvd`s. Is there such a product available? Thanks

Looking for a Digital DVD Recorder with upscaling feature
Hi,
I`ve recently purchased a new LCD TV (Samsung LE37A656A) and now want to buy a Digital DVD Recorder that can also play and upscale ordinary DVD`s. Price Range - up to £250. Also want advice regarding cables to TV and Yamaha AV amp. Thanks
