OK,

I`ve read it again _really carefully_ but can`t see what I`ve missed. Any chance you could help me to stop feeling like an idiot and just tell me which bit of what I did was wrong compared to the suggestions above?

Where on the screen does the region option get listed? Whenever I`ve tried I`ve not seen anything listed on the screen to suggest that it has been even trying to change region.

Just to say I`ve tried the same thing with no result. Model number 585408

I tried
power on from remote
open from remote
2812 from remote
press enter on remote
close from remote
power off from remote

when I powered it up it just gave me wrong region.
