RE: Samsung HT-RP16R
The HT-150 hack also works fine on the HT-UP30, FYI. Currently only 20quid more than the HT-RP16R at Currys.
RE: LG DVD-3000E any info appreciated
I just bought a Tesco LG 3000E today and the LG 3200E hack worked for me. If you don`t know it already:
Switch power on with no disc in tray
Wait for NO DISC dsiplay
Press PAUSE
Enter 314159
When CODE appears in display, enter region code you wish to view
(I found that Region 1 lets you view Region 2 discs too without having to switch back - smart)
Press PAUSE
Switch OFF
Other stuff you asked: I`ve only ever seen the LG 3000E in Tesco, but Scottish Power & Comet stock other LG models. Manual says it won`t play VCD, CD-R, CD-RW, CD-ROM, CD-extra, CD-G, CDi or photo-CD.
Outside of these limits, it seems an okay budget player. PAL playback of NTSC discs is very handy.
Hope this is useful,
Steev
RE: LG3000E new at TESCO
Any news as to the success of the Scan 2000 hack on the LG 3000E would be much appreciated. Also any info on Macrovision hacks for the same.
btw if Slim let us know under which threads he posted his replies, it would be way more useful than just slagging people off for posting unnecessary (in his opinion) new threads. I couldn`t find any threads on LG 3000E either.
