RE: Which AV receiver? Sherwood 6106, Kenwood 7030, Technics SADX930
I have a Kenwood 7030D and am very happy with its performance in works best with action movies which is what I wanted. The only down side is it i a little lost on fast CD tracks. As for your dessicion I was on a strict budget when got mine, only payed £200. So if your budget goes further say £360 you can get the Sony STR940 which is far superior. For in depth reviews check. I have got a Pioneer DV-530 connected to my 7030D but when it is running in Digital 5.1,DTS, or Pro-logic the sound level is agreat deal lower than CD or normal video. I know that it is designed to be more suttle but i have to increase the volume a huge amount.Anyone any ideas anyone???
RE: Sony STR-DB 940 DTS Sound Problem
Not related to Sony problem, But I also have a Kenwood 7030D purchased recently. I am having a sound level problem when it is in DD5.1 ,DTS or pro-logic modes whether it be DVD or VCR input. I have to turn the volume up a considerale amount and then when switch to sat input or CD it blasts out at high volumes. Do you have any problems like this or any sugestions. Please!!!!!!
RE: Pioneer DV 530 - Noisy disc mechanism
Not connected to noisy disc, But I also have Pioneer DV-530 and cant work out why the sound level is a great deal lower when in digital playback . Friends with other models and makes have an output level or attenuator, is there any feature that i have missed that could cause this??? Oh sos it is connected to a Kenwood 7030D via digital coax only.
