I was looking for something similar for the Pioneer DV-525 model. and discovered what Mr. W had to say. The British site techtronics.com sell a kit for my system (you should check for yours and its in english) but requires soldering on a surface mount board which is nasty without the right equipment. They will modify the system for you if you like and sell models already done. However, the mod they sell for my system still leaves the requirement of a multi-system TV for the output is in either PAL to PAL or NTSC to PAL. I have not yet seen a North American source for this sort of mod, and would need to get the multi system TV which is harder to come by in North America. By contrast nearly everybody in the UK sells a multi system set which can take the output of such a modified DVD player...
