RE: Minato G1 from Tesco

My TV doesn`t support NTSC, but I thought that PAL60 was the equivalent. Yes, I was using the Scart lead.

I`ve taken it back - I`ve decided to invest in a higher quality machine.

Minato G1 from Tesco

Anybody else tried one of these?

The picture quality seems to be no better than normal TV picture. I`ve tried an R1 and R2 disk (R1 with PAL 60 on the TV). It`s got all the other features I want - CDR, MP3, Multi-Region, but it`s meaningless if it looks the same as watching a video.

I tried a Samsung 511 the other day, the picture seemed better, but I returned it as it didn`t play CDR and MP3.
