VCD`s on my player, please help !!!!

Hello all, can anybody tell me if i can play vcd`s or cd-rw`s on my Grundig gdv 220.

I have burned one cd-rw and it didn`t work, but i read on this forum that certain cd-rw`s work on some machines that might not work on others.

Lip - sync on Grundig gdv 220

Can anybody please tell me if the problem with quite bad lip sync is down to the disc or player. I notice it on a few Discs, but especially on the Gladiator region 1. It seems worse when being played on DTS rather than Dolby Digtal. As DTS sounds better i would rather play it on that.

Please help

Grundig Hack

I have got a Grundig gdv220, i can`t find this model anywhere on the web. I got it from Currys. Apparently the Grundig hack of 0 1 2 3 Play should work on all Grundigs, but surprise surprise it does not on mine.

I have 4 region 1 dvd`s, Dante`s peak, Jurassic park, The Haunting and Twister.

Dante`s peak is the only one that seems to work. Strangely it works on region 2 aswell.

What can i do ????
