A decent Audio Set up..

I have a Wharfdale 750 and want to get decent cinema surround sound.
can someone give me a couple of ideas how to acheive this without breaking the 250.00 barrier.
Please give product recommendations if possible...

Live & Let Die / Aiwa DX290 DVD = Any known problems...

I`ve now tried 3 copies of this DVD (each one from a different shop) and each time the MGM logo plays and then the disc is ejected..
Is it my player, even though the others play OK, or does anyone else know of problems associated with this particular Disc or Player?

I`ve not mega bucks but am prepared to spend about 300 pound or so..
space isn`t a problem..
any suggestions?

Hi just won of these machines in a competition. Can anyone give me their opinions on this machine. Also how does it compare to the Wharfedale 750 which I already have.

Hi-Fi`s & DVDS

Hi I`ve got a DVD and am thinking that I need to get the full potential by attaching it to a hifi. Before I go out and ask a spotty youth in dixons, can anyone advise what I should be looking for in a hifi? Obviuosly surround sound, but anything else or any tips?
what sort of money am i talking? Also to add to the confusion my partner won`t chuck her vinyl away so it has to be able to cope witha turntable.
