RE: crouching tiger problem - help?
You`ve likely made the right decision. I got my disc checked out by a friend on his Sony (chipped) machine, and he got basically the same problems. Now debating if I should try for my money back.
Thanks by the way for all the friendly help on this forum. Much appreciated.

RE: crouching tiger problem - help?
So what exactly do you mean by the term "silver". Is this guy effectively admiting these are bootleg? If so, I`m pretty unhappy. I see nothing wrong in importing legit discs, but draw the line at pirates.
RE: crouching tiger problem - help?
Thats who I got it from.
Though mine has DD155 on the back, and according to someone else on this thread, there`s also has 155 and works fine.
Go figure :-)

Hi,
I bought from the same person I think, Stephen Nelmes?
It has been mentioned on this thread that if you have DD150 stamped on the reverse of the disc, its a fake.
Its also been mentioned that someone has one marked DD155 and its worked fine.
Mine has DD155, and its not. I`m going to get someone else with a player to try the disc, and we`ll see if it works on another make of machine.
RE: crouching tiger problem - help?
From an aution on the QXL site.
How would I tell if its a "silver" copy and does that mean I have bought a fake :-)
It looks like an original, as far as I can see - not that I`d really know :-)
crouching tiger problem - help?
Hi,
I just got Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon on import and while I can play the movie, I have real problems with the extra features.
The directors commentary cannot be accessed - on trying to select it, the option is just skipped over.
Also, when trying to change audio and subtitle settings, it is pot luck if you can actually get to the required screen. Usually, on selecting the option, the screen appears but then just skips back a screen.
Just to make matters worse, the black borders on the widescreen format are extremely weird. You have the normal black borders, but within these are two even blacker bars, that tend to expand and contract.
The player is a Bush 102.
Just wondering if anyone has seen anything like this and if there is a workround?
Cheers,
John.
