Looking for multiregion hack for Audiovox DVD-1500 portable player

Hi folks,
I have just bought an Audiovox DVD-1500 portable DVD player. Its pretty awesome for the price compared to the newer models. I knew it was
Region 1 but can I hack it to region independant (I`m in Region 2).

I have lots of Region 1 DVDs but as you know its a pain.

I have been told the the Audiovox might be an Aiwa portable rebadged - I`ve tried some Aiwa hacks but not joy
