RE: Grinch (The)
So does region 2
Panasonic 28pk3 advice please.
Had a pk3 for 3 weeks now and generally very happy with it.
What I have noticed is when using av1 rgb for dvd & itv digital on a frequent basis I get a small oval pattern of vertical lines, that looks a bit like a fingerprint moving across the screen, in either direction. Is this the rgb problem that I have discovered in the forums that seems common with Panasonic? If so can it be adjusted in the service menu or do I need a call out//replacement. The set was bought from John Lewis in Southampton. Ideally i can`t use av2 s-video because the vcr is using this for q-link to work, one of the reasons I stayed with Panasonic.
Also do the service menu adjustments for geometry allow fine adjustment or is it a more overall thing?
Any comments or experience, including how to get into the service menu would be appreciated.
Philips 100hz switch back to 50hz?
I have a philips 32pw9631 that suffers from excessive artifacts/processing etc. is there any way to turn this off and go back to good old 50Hz analogue? Is there a service menu?
Any thoughts on Philips 32PW9631?
I have the oppurtunity to buy this ex-rental for £300. Any Good?
RE: Creative DXR3 ..connecting to TV?
I have a similar set - up. The TV, amp etc. is to the opposite side of the room to my pc. I have connections running under the floor comprising a 10m s - video lead to the TV and 10m coax to my Yamaha DSPA5.
Most TV`s have a S-Vid input on the front and/or a configurable scart on the back. Mine runs into AV2 which is switchable to S-Vid using an a S- Video round 4 pin plug to scart adaptor, quite cheap. The decoder card in the pc has both of these outputs.
When watching on TV you have to switch the output using the on screen "remote" and also pre-select the AC3 setting in the sound configuration. Best way check out the handbook. If not using an amplifier
the sound can be output to desk top speakers if required but only in stereo. My cables came mail-order from one of the specialists as in "What Hi-Fi" etc.
I also have an infra red keyboard and by using a learning remote control I now also have a remote for the DXR3.
Hope this helps.
What`s best Toshiba SD100 or Pioneer DV535
I want the best quality sound & vision multi-region for around £200. Any other suggestions, decoders etc. not needed.
