Ihttp://www.hed.co.uk/showitem.asp?CAT=85&PID=3778

I phoned up their customer services people to check that it is the correct price, its coming up apparently as being £473.99 and she had to confirm the price on their werbsite which is £199.99. They said its first come first served on these Puppies...

Heres the specs on the pioneer site:
http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/product_detail.jsp?product_id=2067&taxonomy_id=62-100

I couldnt help myself:

5-disc Home Cinema System
This full-featured home cinema system has everything you need: a 5-disc DVD/CD/VideoCD carousel with a built-in amplification for the 5 speakers and passive subwoofer for great sound and both Dolby Digital and DTS decoders. The big front satellite speakers provide excellent 2-channel audio reproduction. It sounds great. Looks good too, with a slanted front panel giving the unit a slimmer appearance. The 5-disc carousel allows you to keep 5 discs (DVD, CD or DVD and CD)in one "drawer ", so that you can enjoy many hours of uninterrupted audio and/or DVD Video entertainment. Centralised function keys on top make this system handy to use when placed in your rack. There is also the added benefit of easy installation thanks to the colour-coded speaker terminals.

Correct me if im wrong but £199.99 for a 5 disc DVD/CD/CDR/VCD player with 330watt RMS surround sound, with built in Dolby digital/DTS amplification is a steal isnt it?

Only draw back is its meant to be chunky, but frankly i couldnt care less.

Just thought id give people the opportunity, and they havent got many i dont think.

Ye i phoned their store up today, he said they too havent got many left, but i simply couldnt justify spending the extra £50 for something id rarely use, money is a little tight shall we say hehe.

I shall also quote him by saying he said the sound quality was better than the Sony DAV500 (£500) in his opinion, very good quality and real loud.

Not meaning to put a downer on the whole board BUT! the links you have to the pioneer site are for the `htd50`, and the other link is for the `hdt5`.

Does anyone know if the features are the same between the two?

Sorry for pointing out the obvious! keep up the bargain hunting!!

They also have the DV444KIT for £299. It is the slimline dvd player, amp, and speaker package (which includes an ACTIVE sub). Not bad value for a good looking ultra-slim home cinema package.

Multiregionmagic have sold out of the players this morning. HED.co.uk dont appear to be listing it on their website either now, so i assume they too have sold out.

Just looked at that KIT444, could they have made an uglier sub?
