first direct £3 cd-wow voucher question, help please :)

Daywalker (Competent) posted this on Saturday, 3rd May 2003, 18:12

is a hsbc debit card a first direct card because both companies have the same logo?
Also when i follow the link from the email cdwow sent me, it only lists everything with a pound off, is this normal, giving you the rest when you pay?
Thanks

Although HSBC is the parent company of First Direct they trade as separate companies. Therefore their cards are different.

Not convinced that an HSBC debit/credit card won`t work, banks appear to use the same code on their cards. My room mate is about to to try an order, I`ll let you know if it works.

Hi All,

As suggested here, I`ve just used my HSBC Debit card to order via the £3 off voucher link and it worked a treat !! Got immediate email confirmations from CD WOW & WORLDPAY for the correct amount (£5.99 in my case).

Cheers original poster.

Well I have folllowed the link and ordered one CD - The Appleton sisters - for £3.99 instead of £6.99. I have paid with my Switch Halifax card and did not have any problem.
