RE: 3 to go video mobile - £50
Fantastic! I`m ordering this in the morning!
Me to, THANX
A word of warning about these `phones. Although this is a good price for the phone, the 3 network is awful.
I got the NEC 606 (the flip one) about 3 months ago and whilst its a good phone (takes pictures, video, plays MP3/Videos), its useless for making calls.
When it is possible to unlock these phones I will go back to mine, but don`t buy this phone expecting it to be the only phone you`ll need.
There are some good comments on this discussion forum (although the opinions are quite negative); www.3gnewsroom.com.
Good price, but more of a toy than a useful phone :/
Cheers,
Rich.
RE: 3 to go video mobile - £50
i was told i would not be able to use my excisting SIM card in these phones, You need a special `3` SIM card can anyone confirm this please?? i dont trust the 18yrs old employed in my local Phones 4 u...
p.s. I have a T-mobile PAYG..
I think you can use a o2 sim in these handsets only because the backup network is o2. Probably why network coverage is s***e! Still for 50 notes it aint bad, where else can you get a half decent colour screen handset for that price?

Can anyone confirm that you can use an 02 sim in this phone?
please help.............

No, I`m afraid you can`t use an O2 sim in this phone, which is what I was trying to say.
The phone in its self is good but it is locked to the 3 network, which means the only sim that can be used with it (at the moment) is the 3 simcard.
I would suggest you buy one, play around with it for a while and then put it away until someone works out how to unlock them.
Cheers,
Rich.
(If you do get one of these phones, don`t pay the rip off charges that 3 charge for downloading videos etc. there are loads avaliable for free on the net.)
i think you`ll probaly be able to get this unlocked when the other operators (o2, orange, vodaphone) begin to provide 3G services!
