confusion surrounds the release date, play.com 06.10.03 £37.99/ Amazon.co.uk 22.09.03 £37.48... (and the worst out there Filmsfirst.net >:( , still have this as listed for release last March!!!)
anybody spots it cheaper otr can confirm release date... please shout about it!

I wouldn`t hold your breathe with regards to the B7 DVD`s. There are still rights issues to be sorted out between Fabulous Films who are publishing the disks and the BBC/Terry Nation estate.

If you are a fan of Nations work you may have noticed that all rights for his work are currently up in the air due to excessive demands by his estate. This is why no Dalek stories can be aired in the second half of the year and for the foreseeable future.

The BBC don`t seem too bothered as there is only a small market for most of Nations work, ie UK Gold. As they probably won`t any of the stuff on BBC1/2 there is little chance the Beeb will want to shell out vast sums of Licence payers money on old programming.

Don`t look for the B7 stuff before Xmas.

cheers for that, i have been a awaiting these since january this year when it was first voiced that they were going to release all for seasons this year? Have spoken with choicesdirect and they insist that they will be released on this date??? but i guess they can only go on whhat their suppliers are telling them.
Guess i will just have to dust off all my videos again!

I wouldn`t be surprised to see this out in September. Broadcast and Video/DVD rites are
very different. Choices also have Season 1 of Terry Nation`s best series, Survivors, listed at £42.49 with a release date of 22nd September 2003. 8)

W A H A Y !!!!

Survivors on DVD !!!! Best TV series of all time at last on DVD... I had almost given up all hope.
But it`s a whole six weeks to wait!!!???

According to BBC Worldwide the release date is now Oct 27th.

Just had a look on the BBC website and they have it down for release on 1/1/04 (odd day for a new release). Are they even being released by the BBC? As I recall the last time they were released on VHS they were from a different company. :/

And found this on Total Solutions website -


"The BBC`s PR have informed that the release is now unlikely to go ahead this year at all"

Now confirmed that it won`t be released this year.
