Flight Of The Navigator

Sainsburys(Plymouth Marsh Mills), have Flight Of The Navigator on DVD for £5.99. I had a permanent grin on my face this morning when I saw. Been a favourite of mine since I was a kid. :D
Says on the back: Video Aspect Ratio: Feature - 16.9 Anamorphic
Single sided, single layer- DVD 5.
Don`t know what that means myself, but for those that care about things like that. :)

Any comments on audio-visual quality? As long as it`s not really poor I might pop down to Sainsburys and see what they have.

I know nothing about this layer business... :/ Just watching it now... the picture is as expected for a 1985 film... but the sound is actually pretty damn good!
On films like Monsters Inc/The Ring, I have to have the sound on my TV up full to hear properly... and my stereo system on at least 22. This DVD, it`s perfect... actually a bit too loud half way on the volume bar... and i`m on 15 on my stereo and it`s fine.
Obviously, others might require better, but for me... and at £5.99 it`s brilliant. :D

Single layer shouldn`t be a problem, as the film is only 90 mins long.

I`m not sure what you mean by

though? Lots of scratches and dirt on the film?

I am now extremely P1$$ed off... i have tried all three Sainsbury`s within the local area (torbay), and none have this... was it just a fluke that it was in Plymouth? (even more annoyed as i was there yesterday!!!)... anybody else seen it?
cheers, mark. :(

Look in ASDA £7 something

OR Play.com £7.99

Maybe a bit more than Sainsbury`s but at least they have them.
