Aldi -- Pentium 4 160 GB Hard disk £849
Am thinking of getting the current Aldi computor offer, only £849 (without monitor of course)
What`s the general build quality of medion computors like? Has anyone had a previous aldi offer before?
RE: Aldi -- Pentium 4 160 GB Hard disk £849
My son bought himself a medion computer last year from PC World...to cut a long story short... well 6 mths short and numerous phone calls.. not knowing a*se from elbow come to mind, we eventually got a replacement, this is still a medion build and as far as I know he hasn`t had any problems with this one. I saw the comp your talkin about at aldi also, and I must admit I thought it was a good buy, but if you have any computer knowledge or even just a little like me, Id go for a build your own, Ive got top spec machine now and all the parts only cost me appprox £500 (not incl monitor)...and believe me if I can build one anyone can!!......

Lidl have a very similar box on offer next week for £899 but I think it has 512MB RAM
RE: Aldi -- Pentium 4 160 GB Hard disk £849
The Aldi one also has 512MB memory.

Time also have a top spec machine similar to this for only 699 (with 512Mb of RAM) or 799 (with 1024Mb of RAM) It`s got a 3GHz Athlon 160Gig HD and a DVD-RW drive, again no monitor but cant really go wrong can you?

Time... that what takes so f+*#ing long with to get anything sorted out... i stood in their shop shouting until i got my money back, three computers in first month from them
Tiny... same company... and that is the amoun tof customer service help you get for a MASSIVE initial outlay, and then an even more MASSIVE phone call...
now called Computer World!
I would reiterate avoid like a dose of the clap... if you cant build one yourself go to a computer fair and find a nice person who will do it for you!!!
