Expresso Maker

lyricman (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Monday, 12th April 2004, 18:01

I recently bought a Krupps Expresso Coffee maker for £60 reduced from £120. Just seen one in Woolworths that is almost identical so I guess it is a rebadged Krupps at £29.99. 15Bar pump pressure a bargain

Is that anything like as `Espresso` coffee maker ?

Sorry, being a pedant ;). Was the one in Woolies a 15 Bar machine ?

I read the whole post, just wasn`t clear on whether the cheaper woolies machine was also 15 bar.

I have just bought one of these! Looks pretty good but it isn`t like the £80 Krups one that I was considering. It is a Woolies own brand (Elevation) and reduced from £35 to £30 so not that much of a bargain except when compared with brand name espresso machines.

um when you say its not like the Krupps one, what do you mean?

I was looking at the Krups Vivo which has one or two nozzles so that you can make two cups at the same time. This costs about £80. The Woolies espresso maker is more rectangular in shape and chrome rather than black plastic but has 15 bar pressure and a 1.2 litre water tank and a steamer for frothing milk like the Krups.

This is an excellent machine as was originally £70+ it makes great coffee and you can get an adaptor so you can use coffee pods as well which is great for convenience and a great coffee I have had mine for a few months now and cannot fault it
sorry didn`t make it clear I`m talking about the Woolies Elevation 15 bar machine!
