Any idea if these have an individual key `learning mode` or are you just stick with the pre=programmed models and controls? I`ve got several bits of kit that these things never seem to have pre-programmed.

I got one of these about a year ago, and found it was next to useless for me - it works for my DVD player, but only controls the very basic functions of my TV, hi-fi and SKY. It doesn`t have a learning facility.

Toys R Us are selling a Medion 8 in 1 remote- looks a lot like the ones Aldi's were selling last year but this one has a learn button.
More than the new one at Aldi's but may be able to do what you want. £9.99
Can`t moan about under a tenner for an 8 in 1 remote.

Toys R Us are selling very cheap remotes for the PS2.
£2.99 for a credit card size remote, or £4.99 for a full size silver remote- just in case anybody out there is in the market for a PS2 remote…… I got the silver one, works with PS2`s built in remote receiver, but comes with seperate receiver for use on older models. :)

I am getting one as i have sky+ upstairs, if it doesnt work it will go in the lads room as he has lost his tv remote, (possibly eaten it!?) so I will let you all know on thursday, Hey its only £4.99!! as the misus would say...... ;)

Yeah, I`d seen that in the weekly `Special Offers` leaflet I picked up from the store last week-I didn`t know whether it meant a `learning` button like the one for all` had where you could hold it to a telelphone rceiver to download a particular piece of equipments codes.

I now have one of these - it is good.

programmed one for my dad yesterday as the buttons on his satellite remote were faulty and a replacement would cost £70.

£4.99 -BARGAIN when it learnt the key functions and works a treat. i just hope he gets used to using 1 remote instead of 4.
