having bought and sold over 300 items on yahoo/ebay over the years i have had one bad experience of something not arriving...

I ordered 3 t-shirts from the states, after a month they had not arrived, the seller refunded completely without question, including shipping fees...

6 months later thet arrive... the postmark indicated they had infact been shipped as per auction details, they just appear to have sat in a post room somewhere for a long time!

Ebay is great... if it seems too good to be true iit probably is!
check a seller/buyers feedback if you are in any doubt!

and don`t always rely on this, for some reason some pirate dvd sellers have loads of positive feedback... >:(

Good feedback is not a sign of a good seller.

The idiot I purchased from had over 100 positives and no negatives. Needless to say I have given him his first negative. He ignored all my emails as did ebay, so `no` it is not a generalisation when I say ebay sucks.

Well,,,,,, actually it is a generalization, a COMPLETE generalization. i`ve had the odd item go astray, but i can spot the bootleg dvd`s a mile off :/ & i`ve ordered loads from ebay, none of them have been bootlegs. whenever i`ve had a problem i`ve ALWAYS got my money back & both paypal & ebay have ALWAYS got back to me within a couple of days. one bad experience is not enough for any sensible person to slate the whole community (although when bidding for something for .99p, remember to put the decimal point in front ;) ) feedback is the most important factor with ebay, unfortunately it can be manipulated, & yes loads of these guys selling cheap malay/chinese dvd`s have excellent feedback, but thats because jo public would not be able to tell the difference between a legit copy & a Very well made counterfeit. the likes of us, Should be able to smell them out, if only because of the packaging, as with all markets ebay has good & bad, common sense is you`re strongest weapon, but even then, you COULD get stung, just as you can anywhere.
