Homecall (www.homecall.co.uk) are offering unlimited 512K broadband plus all day free local and national calls (like BT Option 3) for only £19.99 per month. You still have to pay for your line rental on top (BT = £10.50 / month) but they do this as well for £9.99 / month. Almost sounds too good to be true !!

I`ve been looking at this for a couple of days now and can`t see the catch (if there is one). If you know any different.......

They also offer £12.50 call credit for you and a friend if you recommend them. I`m happy to be anybodys friend when my account is set up !!!! Drop me a line.

Only catch I`ve been told... but I haven`t had verified... is...

When compaines offer cheaper line rental like homecall and Onetel... they are buying the line from BT... if you don`t like the service and want to return to BT its a nice £200 rebuy/connection fee...

Once again I don`t know if its true.... perhaps somelse can enlighten me...

This is a bit like the early days of buying your own telephone - if you didn`t rent one from BT and had a problem with your line BT blamed it on your phone!!

The deal is good but I would suggest that for the sake of 51p a month you keep your line rental with BT :)

Yeah, planned to keep the line rental with BT anyway like you suggest. I must admit to being a bit wary of things like this and tend to pay over the odds for the `original` supplier but with this one I think I must just take the plunge into the Broadband age !

I was also thinking of buying into homecal , as we use them for calls anyway , When I spoke to them it was a 14 turn around to get you back on .
