Surely someone out there will find this useful - esp. as xmas is coming up:

http://shop.o2.co.uk/student - With the student offer - the price falls to £14.99 - ideal for kids, parents etc

Well , it looks like a great deal to me , thanks Reds.
I have passed it on to my brother in law , who has ordered one for himself.
I can`t seem to order one myself , probably because I ordered 2 of the Nokia 3100s from O2 student earlier in the year and there would seem to be a limit.
Anybody know of a way around this :/ (tried different names , email , credit cards , but I think it is linked to address) . By the way , the B-In-Law tried to order a second V220 , but it wouldn`t let him , so maybe the limit is now one.

G MAN have you tried using a different browser - if you`ve already ordered using explorer, try ordering again using e.g. netscape navigator with different name, address etc.

It`s worked for me in the past!

Pretty certain the problem is the postal address (and I only have one of them :¦ )

The V220s do seem to have all gone , but for those desperate to get a cheapish mobile from O2 , the O2 X1b (compact camera phone with Bluetooth) is available through the same `student` route for £29.99

I JUST about managed to get one of the Motorola V220 phones, although it really is a battle with O2`s website just to get one order processed, I ordered one at 5am confirmation email came through at midday...some 7 hours late!, upon trying to order another 2 of these phones, one for the wife and one for my father, couldn`t get it to go through, same problem.....

Unfortunately your order cannot be completed.

That was trying using different payment cards, must be to do with the postal address I think, although I got my wife to try ordering for delivery to her works place, but O2`s website timed out on her (it really is such a lousy website), and by the time she got round to trying again, offer has gone.

I would strongly recommend against the o2 x1b phones btw, its a rebadged Benq m315 which have not had favourable reviews (bluetooth problems, slow texting with small buttons etc), upon saying that the Motorola V220 hasn`t exactly glowing reviews, but for a cheap camera phone at £15 its not bad at all.

If I bought phone on student site, will they check if i`m a student! LOL! Phone I want isn`t much cheaper, but every pennie counts! :D

Not there anymore , Number 14. They disappeared from the site yesterday evening - must be all sold out.
