Spoof Ebay Bargains

I appreciate this area is for posting bargains and saving money. Well follow this advice and you may just save some money. There is another spoof e-mail doing the rounds which preports to be from ebay. It claims to be bargains at ebay this autumn and looks to all intense and purposes to be ebay. Click the link and it takes you to www.autumnbargains.net and asks for your user name and password.

DO NOT ENTER ANY DETAILS.

It would be wrong of me to suggest that you could enter false details and this would screw up this atempt to pinch your correct details. Do not enter false details only once enter them several times if you receive the email, that will keep the happy little spanners busy for a while.

Please remember never to give out your password to anyone and certainly not by email or email link

Install the eBay toolbar. Okay I am the first to be suspicious of toolbars but I work in enforcement and went to a presentation given by eBay security manager. The toolbar (downloadable off their website) does not slow your system down and has passed several spybot checks without raising a whimper. Doesn`t run anything it should`nt in the background.
When you install the toolbar it flashes up with a big red banner at the top to show you are on an unofficial site.
