Bargain Buckets Forum
wanted a cheap branded DVD-R to play around with my new dvd recorder and got 50 for £6, they worked a treat
bought em online here
http://www.stationxmedia.com/shop/product.php?productid=16144
I got the 50 last time when they did free postage.. took a while to receive them.. the media itself was fine but the packaging and the cylinder casing was all smashed.. :(
Those Bulkpaqs are craq. They do not work on my dvd recorder and play very badly on my dvd players. £5.99 shipping is ridiculous, go with SVP.
Do SVP still do `free shipping` offers?
I used to see the postings here frequently, having said that it was a while back.
Do they did do these promotions?

;)
i was well happy with the shipping cost, i also bought 100 dvd cases for £8.00 and 100 CD cases for £10.00 and the shipping was still only £6.99 and thats almost 20kg. Price was alot cheaper than SVP aswell, check out their case prices. nuff said i think!
Granted SVP delivery is less but its 1-4 days, i reckon i saved about £7 on total order price inc del

RE: Bargain DVD-R 50 for £6
i guess it depends on what the quality of the goods is like and how good the customer service is, if thats good i guess some ppl don`t mind paying a little extra, all i can say is i have used that particular company , and have had no problems , even when returning goods they gave me a full refund with no fuss at all
i think it works out a lot of the time the p&p is as much ( or even more) than the cost of the items, in account of the weight so buying them online can a bit of a false "saving", I also walk around some of the local computer fairs, even market stalls and £ shops sell blank disks now it`s a good way to find good prices ( and maybe get a few bargains), even " budget"supermarkets are getting in on the act, such as Aldi, Lidl, I know that Netto was recently selling packs of 5 Traxdata +R dvd disks, in full size jewel cases for £1.96. so maybe this will make the big boys lower the prices a bit
