Haven`t been to an Argos store yet, although have reserved this online and its coming up as £79.99 will it definitely be only £49.99 at checkout?, and if so was the offer only for today or will I be ok with this offer tomorrow?, as I say have not been in store to see the latest in-store brochure, it seems strange that the price instore would differ from the price online and in my reservation email, and we all know what Argos are like with mispriced goods :-¦

if the offer is in the brochure, then its obviously for more than one day. As i said in the original post, it comes up as £79.99, but the person at the till will say £49.99.

I found out about this on a games forum a few days ago and after confirmation from several people, ending up getting mine today.

It is not a price error.

p.s those who might buy it, remember to add the free memory card and controller to you basket online.

Now just got to sell my black Gamecube...this offer too good to resist, that price for a excellent limited coloured Gamecube with a nice new 12 months warranty and a reasonable game for £49.99, and if I dont like the game that much can always trade it in for Resident Evil 4. Gamecube maybe in its last outing this christmas but with the new Zelda game to look forward to next year and it coloured to fit in with the Xbox 360 it certainly will look good on the shelf as well!

I can confirm that this is in an In Store brochure (well , 4 sided A4 leaflet actually :) ).

If I get this one I`ll then have six gamecubes ( one panasonic, two USA and two UK`s already ). I really should get around to selling them. The white one is v.nice, must resist...

Just to add, Mario Smash football is brilliant. Its like the Anti-PES. ie, you can actually score goals on it. Its just really, really fun.

That is an ongoing offer which applies to the gamecube until 24/12 . If you carry on down the page , you will find the current offer of free controller and memory card which only applies to 14/12 (and then the price will probably revert back to £79.99).
I`ve just been and bought one myself , very cool looking white unit , freebies and (so I am told) a great game all for £50 - my kids already think I`m Santa Claus :) In my case , I bought the Gamecube bundle and a new electric toothbrush with the wife`s staff discount , a shade over £54 and another £5 voucher to add to my collection which I`m am saving for the post Christmas sale.
