Xbox Package back on sale in Argos - this time £99.99

The G Man (Elite) posted this on Friday, 16th December 2005, 16:06

The Xbox package which was on sale in Argos at the beginning of the month for £124.20 is now on sale for £99.99 for those of you (like me) who might be interested in such `old` technology ;) No vouchers this time around though.
The bundle consists of Xbox Console , Tri - Format Steering Wheel and Xbox Mega Pack (Forza and Halo 2 games , official controller and official DVD remote).

Link for the Xbox here , scroll down the page to find the offer and add all three items. Offer closes 24/12/2005.

Very tempted by this G Man, I`ve got one on ring and reserve, but still not quite made up my mind. Apart from Halo I haven`t heard much about it, and since I don`t get to go on our GC (unless I tazer the boy to get him off it ;) )and the PS1 is a bit dated....hmmm, decisions, decisions.

LB2

Have you tried switching it on........?

Yeah I`m in the same situation - I`ve got two on reserve at the moment - one for my nephews and one for me. There`s no doubt that it`s a bargain price and the wheel can be used on the PS2 and the GC.
According to GameRankings.com, Halo 2 got 95% and Forza got 92% - so both pretty good games - although I`d prefer Need for Speed - Most Wanted or Burnout.

Any idea why Halo 2 is a 16?

Surpirse, surprise. All my local Argos store are out of stock of the steering wheel. Same thing happened when they had the PS2 bundle at the end of Nov.

All of my locals were out of the steering wheel last night and I thought well that`s that then but they seem to have come back in stock this morning.
Keep checking Mike maybe they`ll get a few more in or someone who has it on reserve doesn`t pick it up and the reservation will expire.

Hi Everyone,
I reserved an extra bundle at Farnham, if anyone is interested. It will be held until Wednesday evening.

Hi, anyone know if you can take back the games in the bundle and exchange them for something else. I know the games are excluded from the 16 money back scheme.

Similarly how about the wheel - it`s not excluded from the 16 day money back scheme but since it`s part of a bundle they might not take it back.

The games should be sealed and normal retail versions so has anyone tried swapping them for something else without a receipt perhaps in a different shop. You know - it`s a present, no I don`t have the receipt etc. It`s really because Halo 2 is a 16 and my nephews are a bit younger than that.
Cheers
Dave
