Did you buy it?I cant get my computer to recognize that it is plugged in.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

you did put power to the dvd drive?

I followed the instructions in the manual.Turned computer on,connected the plug adaptor to the mains,connected usb lead from burner to computer then switched on the burner.The computer was supposed to recognize it and windows should recognize new hardware and complete installation but nothing happened.Even when you click on my computer there is no evidence that something has been connected to the usb port.I tried a memory stick in the port and it was recognized.

Medion replaced the burner.They delivered it by courier and they took the faulty one back to Medion.New one working fine.

Can it be programmed to record other region discs.and can it records programmes over 120 mins. long.eg in Lp mode. Can you help? kEITH

This is a computer peripheral, not a set-top box. It will record whatever your PC sends it (within the capability of the inserted media).

This isn`t a device for recording programmes off-air.
