I don`t know if everyone has already got their booster seats by now, but I was looking and found this site with them in stock and a good price, even cheaper if you buy 2!

They had some very similar in Aldi not so long ago, they were about £3-4 each.
GOOD VALUE CAR BOOSTER SEAT FOR £12.99 AND LAW FROM 12/09/06
Hi All,
There is new law introduced reference children under 12 years old or under 137cm ... as of 12th September 2006.
I may be slightly with the facts above but more or less correct. There are unfortunately a lot of children not secured safely or at all, leading to some serious injuries.
If caught without an appropriate restraint that being a booster seat or baby seat then liable for a fine, points, or one than one child, a court appearance with a big fine and points.
For £10.99 you can`t grumble and its a lot cheaper than the above penalties!!
Sorry bit of a bug for me .. see it every day ... and its an accident waiting to happen >:(

I read a news article the other day which said the Police found it un-workable

Depends on the Officer I suppose. Theres traffic who should be concentrating on such issues and Patrol Officers who fly around non stop to different jobs.
Apart from that ... people should be thinking about their kids!! Not saying everyones the same but theres a lot of kids that aren`t secured properly. Wouldn`t take the risk. Police always concentrate on new legislation when its released to send the message out to people.

We should all ensure the safety of our children.
It is sad that legislation is needed at all, and even sadder that it probably is very difficult to enforce. I think there is even some `short irregular trip` loophole.
What really grips me is the number of B*****ds driving with a mobile in their hand. I really wish the police would jump on those drivers from a great height with studded boots.
Oh well rant over.
