Only that this buy one get one free has already been done before from HMV and that surprisingly enough its pretty much straight after their DVD`s for £9.99 sale. Point to note is that You are paying upto £20 for your first. Look on Play247 they have got all sorts of sales from Warner Bros and Columbia etc... I`d check prices their first for the film of your choice.

Well, speaking as someone who has just recd 4 JP/Lost World box sets for £42, I have to say HMV are OK! Long may they cock-up their sale prices!

LJ

PS I have bought the box sets as Xmas pressies, NOT to sell on ebay!

A new r1 jurassic park is due for release on the 11th Dec i think containing all three films. It should come out on region 2 as well. this may be a reason they are trying to flog them. I must say they are cheaper than play for 2 disc sets I.e Blues brothers and Bridge on the River Kwai BOGOF where as they are 2 for £30 at play.

This "sale" is designed to tempt newbies into buying films at what are thought to be bargain prices. Save your hard earned dosh and visit:
futureent.com
ezydvd.com.au
play.com
et al.
These buggers are praying that the causual buyer will pay 19.99 for 2 films available elsewhere for approx. £7.99 each. And you would not have to buy two at once.
I cannot see the reasoning behind this "sale" apart from RIP OFF!
Buying 2 special 2 disc sets is the only way to make on the deal.
Well done lewjosh on the LW/JP box sets!!!!

Although I agree with the above comment re aussie dvd sites, I think the HMV sale is quite good- after all if newbies (or anyone else for that matter) want to pay 20 quid for CTHD and Traffic it doesn`t take a degree in maths to work that out at a tenner each, and in my opinion that`s value for money.

Looks like close to the edge STILL hasn`t got over not getting his X-Files box sets from HMV!
