Ordered mine from Play - it`s been dispatched but still no sign of it yet... as soon as it does arrive I`m taking 24 hours off from the rest of the world!!

Hiya, dicanio. Mine arrived from 101.cd first thing this morning. I`ve not had a chance to look at it yet. Mind you 101 did charge me the full price even though I should have got 10% off. Emails will have to be commenced.

Mine arrived on Saturday. Pretty good really. But already there have been complaints on other forums that the episodes have been cut, but in fact the episodes on the discs are the actual episodes as aired in the States and the BBC got episodes that had extra bits but they were never meant to be broadcast. Similar things happened with Buffy where the BBC got episodes where the SFX was not completed.

Having deliberately missed episodes on BBC in case I bought the DVD, is it worth getting, and how many seasons are they planning to make?

lt really is groundbreaking stuff, but l don`t abouot repeat viewing. lf you want to watch a film again, you can find a few hours. But watching 24 a second/third time, you need a week of free time.

Why not buy it, then ebay it, if you don`t want to keep it. You probably wont evenmake a loss!

It has not been decided how many series they are planning to make just yet. lt depends if people get bored with the format

The only bad thing about the format is that due to the incessant number of commerical breaks on US television, an hour slot is only 45 minutes of programme...hence why 24 is not 24 hours long, but is instead 24x45 - so it is not completely in real-time. I don`t think they`ll ever be able to make each episode 60 minutes, so the first real-time TV show would have to come from the BBC or another commericial-free channel. 24 hours worth of Casualty anyone? ;)

In America it was in real time because before each advert the clock appeared and ticked away, then after the adverts the clock showed up again with three minutes added on (or however long the adverts were).
