I would like to know if the "The Great Escape (2 disk set) SE" (not the World Cup edition) has subtitles in portuguese.
Please answer only if you have (or have seen) the DVD, because the info available in the online stores difer from one to another.

Yep

Subtitles in Portuguese are listed on the standard 2 disk Special Edition,
BUT for disk 1 ONLY.

Disk 2 has subtitles for English Only.
