What is the difference between an U.S.A dvd and a CANADIAN dvd??????
The canadian dvd`s seem to be cheaper why????

All canadian releases will contain french subtitles (US usually contain spanish and sometimes French) . There will probably be some french on the DVD cover unless they release them with separate french and english covers (in which case the retailers usually indicate whether its the french or english cover). Often there will be a french dub option.
Otherwise not much unless they`re french movies with a larger market in canada (e.g Brotherhood of the Wolf, the canadian release is the only version of the french 3 dvd release with english subtitles).
Note that when you buy R1 dvds from some of the retailers such as Futureent and cd-wow (they sold the Broitherhood of the wolf 3 dvd set)they may be Canadian rather than US releases.
Why are they cheaper than US releases ? Maybe the canadians earn less, reason unknown.

I personally think that they`re cheaper as an incentive. People, for some reason, are prepared to pay more just so it hasn`t got some French writing on the cover! For exactly the same disc in many cases!
